Rhonda Fulfer

Rhonda Fulfer is November's Woman of Inspiration

Rhonda walked away from a physically abusive relationship and raised her daughter on her own. She went through several relationships, and even marriages, where she was taking care of a dysfunctional man. She realized this in herself and took steps to make herself whole.

She is now in a wonderfully strong marriage in which her religious faith plays a large part in their lives and has helped her deal with both her and her son facing cancer.

Mary Barnes

Mary Barnes is October's Woman of Inspiration

Mary was pregnant and chose to leave the babyıs father who, due to his life choices, she felt would be unhealthy for herself and her unborn baby. Doing so meant being faced with pregnancy and ultimately single parenthood while attending college and working full-time.

As a single parent, Mary is now just a few credits from earning her bachelor's degree and is building a house for herself and her daughter.

Rusty Supernaw

Rusty Supernaw is August's Woman of Inspiration

This month's inspiring woman left an abusive controlling spouse after her life was threatened. She and her children were in danger from a violent husband, so she gathered the strength to change her life and find new direction.

Rusty has created a new life for herself and her children. She founded and now manages the non-profit organization, St. Monica's Sisterhood of Quilters, that makes quilts for domestic violence safe-houses.

Teresa Small

Teresa Small is July's Woman of Inspiration.

Her youth was lived in unstable domestic circumstances. She was a victim of sexual abuse as a small child and was shifted from family member to family member multiple times in search of a safer environment. As an adult, she found herself in an abusive marriage and survived her ex-husband's attempt at taking her life.

Today, Theresa and her family are thriving. She chose a better life for herself. She has two children, a loving and supportive husband and is a successful local artist. She is passionate about community service and giving back to others. She has found strength in her spirituality, family and artistic talent.

Small stated, "I have a feeling now that I can do anything. I don't have limitations anymore. It took a long time to get here, but I have to be the best that I can be for my children and I will not allow anyone to hinder that."

Nicole O'Kelly
